2014 may have ended with a slew of quality releases from likes of J. Cole ('2014 Forest Hills Drive'), Ghostface Killah ('36 Seasons'), Big K.R.I.T. ('Cadillactica') and Killer Mike & El-P ('Run The Jewels 2'), among others, but a number of critics have griped that it was arguably the worst year for commercial releases in hip-hop history.

But have no fear, 2015 is here and with a rap nerd's wet dream of albums on the docket that will most likely be released within the next 329 days. And the various subplots and possibilities are endless.

Does Kendrick Lamar cement his status as the self-proclaimed "King of Rap" with another transcendent LP or will he fall victim to the dreaded sophomore jinx? Is Kanye West set for a rebound from 'Yeezus' or has his eclectic sensibilities finally taken his music too far from his core fans? Will Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter V' ever see the light of day?

We sure as hell don't have those answers, but what we do know is that this may be the most exciting year we've had in rap from an excitement factor in quite some time. Now that we've got that out of the way, The Boombox presents the 10 Most Anticipated Rap Albums of 2015 that you should definitely have on your radar.
