Every year we tell ourselves the same thing, “This year I’m going to do all of my Christmas shopping really early!” And then, life happens. You won't find any judgment from me because I've been there more times than I care to admit.

Here's some good news though- you don't have to have heaps of money to give a meaningful gift. As a matter of fact, my family started a tradition of only giving homemade gifts for Christmas. The first year we started the tradition, we made homemade ornaments, the second year we made homemade cranberry jelly, and this year, extended family and friends are getting homemade gourmet popcorn.
