A New Study Finds That Less Is More When Exercising
Exercising can be a very intimidating thing to start doing. And, a little overwhelming, too. But, a new study found that you don't have to go for hours for good results.
It is very interesting because when I am done at the gym I feel great. But, yet I still fight it. I think it's because I used to think that if I wanted to get good results, I would have to spend a lot of time at the gym.
But, a new study finds that is not the case.
If you're exercising to lose a few pounds, you only have to stay on the treadmill for 30 minutes daily. Exercising for a half-hour a day results in the same amount of weight loss as sweating it out for 60 minutes, according to Danish researchers, reports HealthDay News.
Those who exercised a half-hour a day lost, on average, eight pounds over three months, while those who exercised an hour a day lost, on average, just six pounds in the same time period. (HealthDay News)
