Just before headlining the annual Miami Beach Gay Pride Festival on April 14, singer Adam Lambert was given the Key to the City.

After Adam was credited for "being brave enough to be openly gay on 'American Idol,'" he replied, "Thank you! I'm openly happy right now to have this key. I don't know what the hell it really opens, but I'm certainly going to find out."

Miami Beach Mayor Matti Bower countered, "It might not open what he wants it to open, but it opens our hearts to him."

Later on Sunday, Adam was the headline performer at the Gay Pride Festival. He didn't have his band with him, instead performing with some dancers to a musical background track.

Check out video of his entire four song set (which included 'Trespassing,' 'Naked Love,' 'Pop That Lock' and 'Whataya Want From Me') below, along with photos from the key ceremony.
