Last week, the head of AMC movie theaters said they might start allowing people to text during movies, and the internet went crazy over it.  Some people thought it was a good idea, but a lot more people thought it was a truly horrible idea.

And thankfully, those people won out.  After all the backlash, AMC posted a Tweet on last Friday that said: "No texting at AMC.  Won't happen.  You spoke.  We listened."

The CEO who suggested it to begin with dropped a statment as well saying that after hearing all the feedback, it was obvious that it's something the audience "does not want."
