I've never met Chip or Joanna Gaines from HGTV's 'Fixer Upper' but that doesn't mean that I don't love them. I do. And I hope that doesn't come out creepy, but they remind me so much of me and my husband. Jay is the hands on silly one like Chip and I'm more of the planner and designer like Joanna, and man do Jay and I love each other, just like Chip and Joanna do.

I love Chip and Joanna's personalities, I love their work ethic, and their chemistry, and their kids, and their farm. I love everything about the Gaines family, especially how grounded they are and that they stand strong in their faith. I've always felt that if you're going to make the decision to stand for something, no matter what that something is, you should stand strong even if under attack, under pressure, and especially if it doesn't make you popular. I have so much respect for people, even those who don't believe the same as I do, who have the courage to stand firmly behind what they believe.

If you've ever watched Fixer Upper, you probably know the story of how Chip and Joanna met, but in case you don't know- Joanna worked at her dad's tire store and he put her in a commercial for his business. Chip was a customer at the store and not only did he see the commercial, but he saw Joanna's photo which her dad placed behind the counter and Chip knew just by looking at JoJo's sweet face that he'd marry her one day. And he did. So sweet!
In 2003, Chip and Joanna married and the fixing up began as they tackled their first project- their own home. Since then, they've developed a massively popular television show, grown their family, expanded their farm, and even created a unique shopping experience with Magnolia Market at the Silos, among many other things.

But, Chip and Joanna Gaines aren't done yet. People who watch Fixer Upper are always so curious about the process and in an Instagram video, Joanna said, "We get a lot of questions about the designs, and how we get from point A to point Z when it comes to these houses and projects from a design standpoint."

If like me, you're one of those people who wishes you could see the behind the scenes journey that Chip and Joanna take, your wish is about to come true. In the same Instagram video, Joanna had this to say, "...we have a new series coming out this year, which focuses on each project and you get more inside scoop on how we came up with a lot of the design decisions and elements we got to incorporate."

So, either plunk yourself down on the couch this Tuesday, March 28th at 9pm, or set your DVR because, after the season 4 finale of Fixer Upper, we'll be treated to a special sneak peek of Chip and Joanna's new show!
