Any Radio DJ Would Appreciate This Song

I started my radio career in 1994. Things were A LOT different back then. Commercials were manually loaded into a cart machine. The songs were played on CD.

Pretty much everything that was put on the air had to be triggered one at a time by the DJ on air. And, the only time you could leave the studio was between the song being played. Things are much different today.

Everything is computerized, so a couple songs and commercials could play automatically while you are out of the studio. Needless to say, it was very difficult to use the bathroom back in the day unless there was a longer song that was playing.

So, when I saw this song by Iron Maiden that is coming out on their new album, I wished it was around when I first got into the radio business. Their new album is called "The Book Of Souls" and it is has a song on the album that is 18 minutes long.

Let's just say that if that song was around in 1994, things would have been a lot less stressful for me!
