It's already shaping up to be a good year for Ashley Tisdale, the former star of 'High School Musical.' The singer and actress, who is engaged to musician Christopher French, is back making music. But that's not all. 'Young & Hungry,' a food-themed series that she is producing, has gotten the greenlight by ABC Family.

Can we get a "Yay!" for Ashley Tisdale?

The comedy will begin production in Los Angeles early this year and will see a premiere some time in 2014, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Tisdale does not have a starring role in the series, which will tell the story of a young tech world entrepreneur and Gabbi, a food blogger he hires to be his personal chef. Emily Osment, Jonathan Sadowski, Rex Lee, Aimee Carrero and Kym Whitley have been cast, with Annie Potts starring in a recurring role.

We can only hope that somewhere down the road the Tiz will make a cameo or a guest appearance. We miss seeing her on the small screen.

PopCrushers, does this sound like a show you will watch when it finally makes landfall on your TV?
