New Couple Alert? Austin Mahone May Be Dating Fifth Harmony’s Camila Cabello

We think it's time to sound the alarm for a New Couple Alert.

Rumor has it that teenage dream Austin Mahone, who is being groomed to take over for Justin Bieber in the heartthrob department, is dating Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello.

It seems that Mahone, 17, may have been interested in Cabello, 16, for quite some time. He tweeted at her while her group was competing on Season 2 of 'X Factor' last December.

Now, the word is that the two talented teens attracted one another's attention (again!) at the VMAs earlier this year. Sparks flew, and continue to fly.

"Austin caught Camila's eye when they were both in New York for the MTV VMAs [in August]," a friend who claims to have knowledge of the sitch said. "They met the day before at the Arthur Ashe Kids Day and have been in touch ever since."

Due to the fact that they both have burgeoning careers that require them to travel and promote their music, they haven't spent much time together. But like most kids, they remain in touch via digital means.

"Austin thinks she is so cute and she feels the same," the insider shared. "They're staying in touch and are looking forward to hanging out together soon."

It's also being speculated that the Mahone tweet below is a reference to Cabello. Try not to melt or let your knees buckle at Mahone's sweet tweet.
