Kathy Landin

Kathy Landin is a freelance internet pop-culture junkie (and web video producer). For a brief time in 2011, she was THIS close to being Charlie Sheen's social media intern for the summer. She's blogged for local TV stations, anonymous dating adventures and stupid advice columns. Mostly she entertains herself by practicing the fine art of idiocy, which you can watch in Kathy Landin's "I'm an Idiot" Show. Or, if you have a short attention span, get 140 characters of idiocy on Twitter.

The 2013 Oscar for Best Closing Goes to the ‘Here’s to the Losers’ Tribute Song [VIDEO]

After a rather entertaining open to the 2013 Oscars, host Seth MacFarlane clearly didn’t want it to end with just the hurried list of sponsors and the usual “let’s get to your local news as quickly as possible even though we just sucked 4 hours of your life away” attitude of the closing.

How do we know that? Because he made sure there was a really awesome closing song.

Dedicated to the evening’s losers.

2013 Oscars – Anne Hathaway Wins Best Supporting Actress + Doesn’t Bother Acting Surprised [VIDEO]

As even our pet rocks predicted, Anne Hathaway won the Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Fantine in ‘Les Miserables.’

It’s okay when they give Dame Judi Dench an Oscar for barely appearing in a film -- look up ‘Shakespeare In Love’ -- but she’s a Dame. We aren't sure it's cool if the actress hasn't been recognized by the Queen.

For her role, Anne Hathaway cut off her hair and cried while she sang and then she was done. It’s possible the Academy – while not surprising us at all – may have disappointed us just a bit.

5 Things You Should and Shouldn’t Say in a Job Interview

If you’re great at networking, filling out online applications and following up, chances are, you’ve landed an interview or two. Good work. That’s not so easy these days. But your work isn’t over.

In fact, your work is just beginning. The interview is where your true job-getting skills will have to come out. In fact, compared to everything you did to get it, the interview is like doing open-heart and brain surgery while also teaching a child how to tie his shoes. Not the easiest thing in the world.

Stars like Kelly Clarkson, Neil Patrick Harris and Carrie Underwood had as much fun as we would tweeting from the Grammys.

See What Neil Patrick Harris, Lena Dunham + More Tweeted From the 2013 Grammys

It’s always fun to see celebrities behaving like us regular folks and award nights like the 2013 Grammys seem to be a great time for that.

Sure, some of them are dressed in clothes we’ll never even get near and they rub elbows with people who seem to live on a different planet from us, but then there are the ones who act as excited as we would to be around other celebrities. Or, they sit at home and snark on the stars just like we do.

Here are some celebrity tweets about the Grammys that made us feel like they’re all just one of us. Except their follower counts might be a bit higher.

Anna Kendrick Posts a Dirty Tweet About Ryan Gosling That Speaks for Millions

The majority of women with eyes who watch movies find Ryan Gosling at least somewhat attractive. He’s not for everyone, but clearly this is a man who can join the George Clooney club of empirical handsome.

And judging by the naughty tweet of one actress, his universal appeal extends into Hollywood, too.

Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer both win the bad hair award for high school.

Missed Connections – Who Are They?

YOU: You're the ever-nerdy yet still desirable artsy/moody type we all love to take home to mother. Unlike the rest of us, you’re too good for mainstream entertainment so we don’t get to see you in a lot of shows or movies (except for that super hot voice of yours in every last animated ‘Madagascar’ incarnation). I like you even with all the product in your hair.

Lady Gaga Makes Her Biggest Little Monster’s Day

Celebrities have a lot of pressure on them to make everyone happy. There’s always someone who’s their biggest fan saying if they just had one minute with their idol, everything wrong in their world would be right. It's a pretty heavy burden to bear.

But as Lady Gaga proved, sometimes a little day-making goes a long way – and it’s not even that hard to do.
