Last week, Batkid took San Francisco (and the internet) by storm, as tens of thousands of volunteers worked together with the Make-a-Wish foundation to help fulfill the dream of Miles, a 5-year-old boy suffering from leukemia. Miles loves Batman so the entire town transformed into Gotham City and let Miles (as Batkid) help Batman defeat the Riddler and save the day. He’s the hero we deserve and the hero we need right now, so it’s only fitting Batkid should get his own movie poster.

Looking every bit as tough as Christian Bale, here’s our poster, created by artist Jesse Wilson, for ‘The Batkid Rises’ with Miles standing tall.

In the days since Batkid took over San Francisco, the Make-a-Wish Foundation has seen donations soar, with calls coming from Norway, Israel and China. Even Barack Obama took time to tweet and send his first ever Vine, congratulating Batkid on saving the day.

Joined by Batman himself (played by one of the 12,000 volunteers who helped bring this child’s dream to life), Miles was toted around in a Batmobile-style Lamborghini as he raced to save a damsel in distress, foil the plans of the Riddler, and rescue the kidnapped Giants mascot, Lou Seal, from the Penguin’s clutches — but not before stopping by Burger Bar for some lunch and a press conference with Mayor Ed Lee. For the big finish, Miles went to City Hall where the Lee was waiting to award him the key to the city.

And, now his legacy can live on, with our Batkid poster dedicated to Miles’ big day in Gotham City. Good luck filling these bat-shoes Ben Affleck.
