Bedbugs Are Drawn to Certain Colors

Having black or red sheets on your bed might seem Awesome and sexy, but bedbugs totally ruin the mood.

A new study at the University of Florida found that bedbugs have favorite colors. They're more attracted to dark red and black! The researchers built little tents out of colored paper to see which colors they preferred. They gravitated toward the red and black paper than white, yellow, or green. So plain old white sheets might be the way to go. The studies results also apply to rugs and luggage. So if you stay in a dumpy hotel that might be infested, they're more likely to crawl into your bag if it's black or red.
