I was leaving work yesterday and I wanted to get a nice sandwich somewhere.  There is nothing against the 'Subways' in the area because they are great.  But, I wanted something 'local'.

Binghamton has some great spots in the area to get a sandwich.  So, I decided to stop at PMP Deli.  It's on Harry L. Drive in Johnson City.  It doesn't get any more local than that.  Pete, the owner, has been a huge hockey fan for years.  His store is lined with hockey memorabilia.  And, the sandwiches are good.  So, if you are a hockey fan then check this place out.

Here are a couple more 'local' places to get a good sandwich:

Jim Roma's Bakery on Nanticoke Avenue in Endicott.  They have great sandwiches and pizza too!

Pasquale's Deli on Broad Avenue in Binghamton.  They have great sandwiches and for lunch they set up a grill outside to get a sausage and pepper sandwich.

Di Rienzo Brothers Bakery on Henry Street in Binghamton.  Another good 'local' spot for a sandwich.  Plus, with Lent coming up, they have great Fish.

What are some other 'local' spots to get a good sandwich?  I would love to hear from you!
