There were a few thrones to watch at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Monday night (Dec. 8). During the Brooklyn Nets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game, Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, met hip-hop royalty Beyonce and Jay Z for the very first time.

Entering the stadium during the third quarter, Will and Kate took their courtside seats to enjoy the game. And in between the third and fourth quarter, Jay and Queen Bey walked over to greet them.

The camera phones of fans' sitting in the stadium's seats soon went crazy with everyone trying to snap a pic of the glorious moment.

The Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge's visit to the NBA game wasn't just for fun however. The NBA's executive vice president of social responsibility and player programs, Kathy Behrens told USA Today that there was also some business mixed into the pleasure.

"This came about specifically through John Amaechi, a former NBA player," Behren stated. "John is actually an ambassador for the Royal Foundation's Coach Core program. He said to them that he should introduce the Royal Foundation to the NBA, and let's see if we can get two great organizations together and have more of an impact...they've been great to work with and we're looking forward to not just obviously this event but a really long partnership."

William and Kate also met with Cavaliers baller Lebron James, who many would say is NBA royalty -- or pretty close to it.
