Yesterday I played in the Central New York Make-A-Wish golf tournament in Johnson City.

The Make-A-Wish grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions and they believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer.

The weather for most of the tournament was beautiful and hopefully a lot of money was raised for the Make-A-Wish.

I am an absolutely terrible golfer. In fact, I am so bad that I don't even own clubs because it would be like throwing money down the toilet. But, I was able to barrow some clubs from a friend.

I even enlisted some Big League help for my team. I played with my brother, Tom, and two Major League Baseball Umpires. MLB Umpires Joe West, and Rob Drake both played on my team.

Rob Drake is familiar with the Southern Tier since he made his way through the ranks while umpiring in the Eastern League and doing Binghamton Mets games.

Joe West is an umpiring legend, spending almost 40 years in the Major League. He was even in the movie, "Naked Gun".
