Big Sean says that Kanye West demands flawless execution from his collaborators, to the point that West has made Sean, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and others rewrite their verses if he felt they weren't up to par.

"I've been in the studio with Kanye and he'd be like, 'You gotta rewrite your raps. You gotta do it over,' Big Sean reveals in a radio interview with Power 106 in Los Angeles. "I've seen him to do that to Rick Ross. I've seen him do that to Nicki."

The fact that a perfectionist like Kanye would make his guests tighten up their lyrics probably isn't surprising, but it's still fascinating to hear someone say it out loud. Before we start labeling West some kind of tyrant, Sean insists that West expects the same kind of honest feedback about his own work, and that 'Ye will take constructive criticism of his own rhymes to heart. "He accepts people's opinions," Sean says. "He'd really be like, 'Yo, you think I should really go back?'"

Sean and West are joining Jay-Z, 2 Chainz, Kid Cudi, John Legend, and a host of others on the G.O.O.D. Music collaborative album 'Cruel Summer,' which dropped on Sept. 18 and includes 'Mercy,' their No. 1 hit on the Raps Songs chart.
