Water pressure and traffic could be affected for quite some time following a big water main break in West Endicott overnight April 10-April 11.

Crews were called to Glendale Drive in the area of East and West Perimeter Road, just west of Enjoie Golf Club at around 11 p.m. April 10 with reports of water gushing out of the street into the air and around a half foot of water flowing over the road.

Low water pressure is expected to be a problem for residents in the area for an undetermined amount of time.

Glendale Drive and Route 17C (Campville Road) traffic was impacted overnight and detours could persist through the day April 11 as crews work to resolve the problem.  People were said to still be able to access Glendale Park and GlenCott Reality by at least one entrance in spite of the water issue.

Emergency Services officials in Broome County say, at one point in the middle of the night, a Good Samaritan stood in the dark with her flashlight or light from a cell phone to direct traffic around the site.
