Binghamton Community Comes Out to Help Woman with Breast Cancer!

One of the things I absolutely love about living in the Binghamton area is that the community always comes together to help those in need!  Yesterday was no exception!

Michelle Zelenyak found out something that I wish no one would have to find out, that she has breast cancer.  A beautiful wife with 2 beautiful children, now with a new challenge on top of everything else going on in their lives.

I imagine that every emotion goes through your mind when you get the news.  And, to top it all off, there is the financial concerns.

I was honored to MC the benefit yesterday in Binghamton.  It was very heart warming to see the community come together to help out Michelle!  There was food, baked goods, 50/50 raffles, over 100 basket raffles and music.

To me, more importantly than making some money to off-set the medical costs is to see the hundreds of people come out to show the love.  It told Michelle that she was not alone in this journey!

And, by the way, this picture was taken before the benefit was even scheduled to start!

This community rocks!!
