A Binghamton couple is under indictment on 18 sex abuse counts for allegedly sexually assaulting, raping and abusing two boys and one girl between June 2014 and June 2016.

The Broome County District Attorney’s Office says 36-year-old Derrick Cervini is charged with felony predatory sexual assault against a child, five felony counts of criminal sexual act, two counts of felony rape, two felony counts of use of a child in a sexual performance, felony course of conduct against a child, felony sexual abuse felony assault and five misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

33-year-old Heather Kasmarcik is also charged felony predatory sexual assault against a child, four felony counts of criminal sex act and rape as well as two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

The boys are now 13 and 18 and the girl is now 16 years old.

Prosecutors said the crimes against the children allegedly happened at locations in Endicott and Johnson City and one of the victims suffered serious injuries sometime at the end of 2016 in Endicott in an incident involving a fan.

The pair had been arrested in October by New York State Police for criminal sex act with additional charges being filed by the Broome County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Bureau.

Predatory sexual assault against a child alone carries possible sentence of ten years in prison.
