Police have made an arrest following a dispute at a Conklin tavern that left a man injured.

Authorities say 31-year-old Scott Ward of Binghamton has been charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

According to New York State Police, Ward was arrested on Monday. He was charged in connection with a fight that occurred at Jumbo's Bar on Conklin Road. The dispute happened around 11:30 p.m. on January 20.

Investigators say during a verbal argument, Ward allegedly pushed and then kicked a man as he fell. The man sustained lacerations to his lip and a chipped tooth. He was treated at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton and released.

Ward was ordered to appear in Conklin town court on February 26.
