A Binghamton man is guilty of possessing child pornography again.

Federal prosecutors say 39 year old Roland Kyzer was found guilty February 23 of receiving and possessing child pornography. The conviction followed a three-day jury trial in federal court.

Kyzer had pleaded not guilty.

Investigators searched Kyzer’s home November 15, 2016 and recovered a laptop computer, mobile phone, and other devices that they say contained over 25,000 images of child pornography.

Kyzer was previously convicted in 2003 of receiving child pornography, a conviction for which he was sentenced to nine years in prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release.

Under the latest conviction, the Binghamton man is looking at a minimum of 15 years in prison and will continue to register as a sex offender.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 22nd.

Kyzer is also charged separately with violating the terms of his parole and could be sentenced to another minimum of five years in prison on that count.
