Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Yesterday, I attended the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. I walk with a team of family and friends that I created back in 2009 when my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I will share more of her story as the month goes on.

Today, I just want to express how important it is to get your mammogram! PLEASE, do not put off making an appointment. My mom put her appointment off and when she finally went for her appointment is when they found the cancer. I hate thinking about what would have happened if she kept procrastinating! Also, don't forget to do your self examinations at home! Men, be aware that you need to check yourselves as well!

Okay, I'm done yelling at you all! :)  Let's be proactive when it comes to our health! This month, take extra time to support those who are fighting the battle, those who have won the battle and remember those who have lost the battle.
