Back in August, particularly thirsty fans happened upon an unreleased 2003 Britney Spears song hidden in the vaults called "Instant Dejavu," co-penned by Grammy Award-winning songwriters Rick Nowels (Lana Del Rey, Madonna) and Gregg Alexander (Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Geri Halliwell).

At the time, we were only blessed with a 1:30 sample of the track. But now, six months later, the spirited (Spearited) and shimmering uptempo bop has finally arrived in full.

Like a campy '90s Dannii Minogue dance-pop anthem (or Kylie Minogue circa Light Years) meets Kool & The Gang's "Celebration," "Instant Dejavu" is full of big, bright House piano chords, background harmonies and adorably committed dance floor diva delivery from Disconey herself. She really gets into it, employing that all-too-underutilized soulful lower register for some heaven (on Earth)-sent ad libs by the end.

The song would have sounded wildly out of place on 2003's more vibe-y In The Zone — honestly, the closest thing she has in her discography to this is Britney's "Anticipating" or her Mickey Mouse Club covers of '90s dance hits like Bizarre Inc's "I'm Gonna Get You" — but the arrival of "Instant Dejavu" in 2017 during this fairly quiet time (until she decides to do the right thing and release "Change Your Mind (No Seas Cortes)" with Maluma) couldn't be more of a welcome surprise.

Listen to "Instant Dejavu" up top. Oh yeahhhhhh....
