Toys for Tots is officially underway here in Broome County! We were lucky enough to sit down with Johnson City Police Officers, Jodi & Binghamton Police Officer, Theresa, who help run the charity, organize events & collect donations!

Broome County Toys for Tots is a non profit organization that gives new, unwrapped toys to needy families in Broome County. One of the best things about this program, i think, is that all the toys stay right here in the Southern Tier; they help local families make it through the holidays!

One of their first events is happening THIS Saturday (December 3rd) at Toys R US in Johnson City! It's their 'Fill the Cruiser' event and yes, they are literally trying to fill their cruisers! It starts at 10 am & there will be a special Santa surprise... (see video below!)

& don't worry! If you can't make it to the 'Fill the Cruiser' event, they have a handful of different events going on throughout December! You can also bring any toy (new & unwrapped) or monetary donations to any Southern Tier police or sheriff's department and  Wegmans (until Dec. 17th).

Jodi & Theresa also mentioned when they were on-air with us, that they need help with toys for girls & boys aged 7-8 & 9-10! Also, if you need to register to receive toys from Toys for Tots this year, registration ends on December 10th at noon!
