Broome-Tioga Boces Students Celebrate Flag Day

June 14th, 2015 was Flag Day so, on Friday the students and faculty at the Bocescampus in Binghamton celebrated with a special celebration.

There was a special flag-raising ceremony in the courtyard where students and faculty sang patriotic songs, and honored our service men and women who sacrifice so much for our freedom.

I was very honored to be asked once again to play the Star Spangled Banner at the beginning of the observance. Just about everyone honored the occasion by wearing some form of red, white, and blue.

On a personal note, I have been doing different events and things at Boces for over 12 years and I have seen many of them grow up right in front of me. They are all amazing kids with huge hearts!

Every time I leave there, they thank me for coming up but I am the one who should be thanking them!
