It's not her heart, but the show, that will go on when Celine Dion performs at the upcoming 2016 Billboard Music Awards.

The singer will take on Queen classic "The Show Must Go On" to address a very challenging year, Billboard reported yesterday (May 4). Dion's husband, René Angélil, and her brother, Daniel, both died of cancer only days apart in January, and Billboard Awards Executive Producer Mark Bracco said Dion, herself, chose the song in light of her rough road.

"I think at this moment in her life, the song has many meanings and it’s an amazing choice," he told Billboard.

Dion, whose residency is still wowing audiences at Las Vegas' The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, will also receive the show's ICON Award. The late Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Stevie Wonder and Neil Diamond are all previous recipients of the honor, which was established at the 2011 show to honor music's most impressive contributors. Dion has had four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 — 12 have landed inside the Top 10 — and holds the record for most No. 1 tracks on the Adult Contemporary chart with 11.

The 2016 Billboard Music Awards will air from Las Vegas on Sunday, May 22, at 8 PM EST. Ludacris and Ciara will host, while Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Pink and Justin Bieber are slated to perform.
