I know I am a music geek.  But, I grew up playing the trumpet.  I get a great deal of joy out of playing my horn.

Maybe you've heard our version of the Star Spangled Banner at a Binghamton Mets game or a Binghamton Senators game.  When I was in high school, I would get asked a lot to play "Taps" for a military funeral or on a holiday such as Memorial Day, which I loved to do.

I recently had a chance to get to know a guy named Walter White.  He is a world class trumpet player.  And, not just to a "music geek" like me.

If you ever watched The Cosby Show, he was the horn player on the theme song to the show.  He was living in Ithaca, NY for a while and I had a chance to go to his studio.

He wrote this version of "Taps" that is amazing!  I would like to dedicate this post to all of our fallen military men and women.  Check it out.
