I got home from work the other day my front yard looked like a 'frat' house. Beer bottles and cans all over the place. So, unless there was a party there without my knowledge, there must be another reason for the mess.

My wife, who takes care of the entire outside of our house, told me that slugs are eating her plants. I think slugs are the grossest thing ever. My wife read about an easy way to kill the slugs before they do too much damage to your beautiful flowers.

For some reason, they like beer and if you set a beer bottle or an old yogurt container with some beer in it in the yard they will crawl in and drown. Snails and slugs are attracted to both the yeast and the carbohydrates in the beer.

If you are a closet drinker, just tell your wife that you are trying to rid your lawn of slugs and that's why there are empty bottles around the house.
