Chocolate Stout Bread Recipe
Do you love chocolate? Do you love beer? If so I have a great recipe to share with you and details about our Harvest Festival where you can sample lots of beer!
- ¼ cup of buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2½ Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of chocolate stout
- 2¼ cups of flour
- ½ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- ¼ tsp. salt
- About ⅔ cup of chocolate chips for topping
- Preheat the oven to 350 and grease an 8x4 inch bread pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract and brown sugar until all combined.
- Whisk in the chocolate stout.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Whisk until all combined.
- Pour into the greased bread pan and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle with chocolate.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes- until the toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
YUM! I think this would be a delicious bread to have for breakfast!
