Chris Brown has confirmed what we've already known for months -- that he and Rihanna are officially a couple.

The singer told the New York Post they are in a positive space right now.

“We are really happy," Brown said while attending Elton John's AIDS Foundation shindig. "We are back together. She is the most beautiful girl in the world." Duh.

While this bit of news may be disappointing for a few people, Breezy also expressed his remorse for what happened in February 2009, when he viciously assaulted Rihanna prior to the Grammy Awards. He believes that since she has forgiven him, others should, too.

“Sometimes you row, you fight, with the one you love and things get said, stuff spirals," he explained to U.K.'s The Mirror. "That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake. But she loves me -- what can I say? I’m forgiven...but, yes, I worked hard for it."

One person that has forgiven him is Elton John, who invited the embattled crooner to his post-Oscar bash last Sunday (Feb. 24). Brown, who is currently working on his sixth album, hopes to one day collaborate with the piano man on a song. “Music is music. It transcends everything," he says. "So I would love it if we could work together."
