Chris Brown has been teasing the release of his oft-delayed album 'X' for the last few weeks. Today, his record label, RCA, has formally announced that Sept. 16 is the official release date for the project.

The collection will feature guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Usher, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Tyga and others.

The set's first single is 'New Flame' featuring Usher and Rick Ross. The video, directed by Brown, himself, will debut in a few weeks.

Putting his legal troubles behind him, Brown plans to take listeners on a ride through his trials and tribulations on his new album.

"I want everyone to take a journey with me through 'X.' We're going to experience the highs and the lows, the love and the pain," he said.

In the meantime, you can hear Brown on DJ Khaled's all-star single and video 'Hold You Down' featuring August Alsina, Future and Jeremih.

Chris Brown's 'X' will be available for pre-order at all digital stores on Aug. 19.

On another note, Brown is participating in a celebrity flag football contest with Diddy's stepson Quincy on Saturday (Aug. 16). Proceeds from ticket sales of the event will go to charity. Check out the information below.
