Maine-Endwell is on top of the world this morning as it settles in that they are the Little League World Series Champions!

Yesterday, Maine Endwell defeated South Korea 2-1 to win the title as the best little team in the world!

Their summer started at Struble Field in Endwell and they finished with a perfect 24 and 0 record at the end of the day on Sunday. There was an estimated 23,211 fans that packed into Howard J. Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, PA. And, if I had to guess, about 22,000 of those fans were rooting for Maine-Endwell.

These young athletes displayed tremendous sportsmanship on and off the field and made the Southern Tier proud. It took a bunch of kids 12 years-old or younger to bring a community together.

Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families for an exciting Little League World Series run and for reminding us that having some class is possible at any age! Go M-E!
