The National Weather Service is warning of extremely dangerous wind chills for February 16.

Wind chills could register as low as 40 below zero with ambient air temperatures registering below zero combined with winds gusting up to 30 miles per hour.

Fire officials say crews have been called out through the weekend to deal with burst pipes.

The American Red Cross says keeping a trickle of water flowing can help prevent frozen pipes.  Pipe located on an outside wall, like under a sink, can be protected by keeping cabinet doors open slightly if possible.
