Delaware County Man, Schoharie County Woman Charged for Child Porn

A Delaware County man and Schoharie County woman are accused of using a one year old child to produce pornography.

Federal prosecutors say 37 year old Joshua Carey of Stamford and 27 year old Ariel Machia of Middleburg are charged with sexual exploitation of a child.

United States Attorney Grant Jaquith and Vadim Thomas, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albany Field Office say the case was investigated with assistance of the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Police.

If convicted, Carey faces 25 to 50 years in prison, five years probation and a maximum $250,000 fine.

Machia faces 15 to 30 years in prison, parole and also a maximum of $250,000 in fines.
