Usually, if you want to live longer it involves giving something up or sacrificing something delicious. Not this time. If you want to live longer, all you have to do is more of this.

Hey, maybe you should read a book once in a while.  Try that new "Harry Potter" one.  I hear it's terrible.

A new study found people who read books LIVE LONGER than people who don't.  The study lasted 12 years, and people who read at least a half hour a day were 23% less likely to die than people who didn't read.  And they lived about two years longer overall.

The researchers didn't exactly give a reason why reading makes you live longer . . . they just said it gives you a, quote, "significant survival advantage." (New York Times)
