With the Super Bowl a week from Sunday, so many big screen televisions will find themselves traveling from store shelves to our living rooms, but insiders say there’s a trick to getting the biggest bang for your buck.

Here's the deal- when you're out shopping and looking for a new TV this time of year, do whatever it takes to not let yourself gravitate to the newest model that has all of the bells and whistles. You're going to be tempted, but be strong and resist the urge!

The Wall Street Journal says that what you'll want to do instead is to keep in mind that stores are motivated to start clearing out 2016 models to make space for the new stuff. So, if you’ve made up your mind that you're going to buy a new TV in the next few days, seriously consider buying last year’s models because they'll be discounted the most and you'll only be a year behind the most current technology.
