Drink of the Week – Almond Joy Hot Chocolate
This morning it's chilly! Temperatures have really dropped this week and it's rainy, which makes it feel even colder. You're definitely going to need a drink to warm you up, and this one is delicious!
You can make it for the kids too because there is no alcohol, however if you want to make this a "grown up drink", simply replace the cream of coconut with some coconut rum.
- 2 Tablespoons dark cocoa powder
- 2 Tablespoons cream of coconut (or coconut rum for an adult beverage)
- 1 cup Silk Almond Milk, divided
- whipped cream, optional
- chocolate syrup, optional
- toasted coconut, optional
- Whisk together the dark cocoa powder, cream of coconut, and 2 Tablespoons of the Almond Milk over low heat until a syrup forms.
- Slowly add the rest of the milk. Keep whisking over medium heat until hot...make sure you don't bring to a boil.
- Put into a mug and top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and toasted coconut.
