Eminem Turns 40 Today

It's no surprise to most Wild 104 listeners that I love Eminem. I've had the chance to see him in concert many times, more times than I can actually remember. In 2004 I was a casted audience member for an MTV special he did called "Shady National Convention." Well today Eminem, Marshall Mathers III turns 40!

Eminem has achieved ten number-one albums on the Billboard 200. He has sold more than 42 million tracks and 49.1 million albums in the United States and 100 million albums worldwide. Looks like I'm not the only one who loves him!

He has dabbled in acting as well. He had a small part in the 2001 film, The Wash. But he made his official Hollywood acting debut in 2002 with the semi-autobiographical 8 Mile  the movie is a representation of growing up in Detroit. He recorded several songs for the soundtrack, including "Lose Yoursel" which won an Academy Award.

I could go on and on but I just wanted to say Happy 40th Birthday to one of my favorites!
