Endicott Girl Donates Hair To Locks Of Love

Elianah, a 9-year-old girl from Endicott, recently chopped off 10 inches of her hair to donate to kids suffering from long term medical conditions causing them to lose their own hair.

I think that it is amazing that she is thinking about helping other kids so much that she is willing to cut TEN INCHES of her own hair. Being a kid is tough enough. Now try being a kid who has to know more about doctors and surgeries than most of us will never know in our entire lifetime.

Her grandmother put the idea in her head to donate her hair to Locks of Love, and it took her all of about 5 seconds to agree to do it. So, thanks to Elianah, a child is going to be walking around not bald but with beautiful hair.

According to the Locks of Love website, they are a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.
