Every First Wednesday in May thru October, from 5:30 to 6:30pm the Vestal Coal House in conjunction with the American Heart Association is hosting a fun free workout & wellness program! Every session will start with a message from a professional health & wellness speaker. Following this, a workout will be instructed by fitness experts. Healthy snacks will be provided, and there will be special giveaways at each session. The opening night for First Wednesday Workouts is May 7, and will be kicked off by Ken Campbell from Two Rivers Health & Wellness. Ken's topic is "Emotional Re-directing- Achieving & Maintaining Motivation for Fitness." Following a speech from Ken, a workout will be instructed by Binghamton Zumba! Participants will be introduced to R.I.P.P.E.D (Resistance, Interval, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance and Diet) R.I.P.P.E.D is The One Stop Body Shock, and is a “Plateau Proof Fitness Formula" utilizing resistance and body weight. They will also incorporate Zumba into this program. UHS and the American Heart Association are providing informational and educational booths, blood pressure screenings, and various health conscious set-ups, which you can visit after the workout.
