Meals on Wheels of Western Broome has been providing a critical service to the elderly since 1970, in addition to delivering meals to 155 clients, we provide them with a daily check-in and friendly smile from our dedicated volunteers. For many of our clients, talking with our volunteers in the only interaction they may have that day. Meal on Wheels ensures that senior citizens can remain in their homes longer and retain their dignity and independence.
The Meals on Wheels 5K Run/ Walk will take place Saturday, August 5th, 9:00am at the Vestal Coal House. Proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels of Western Broome. This is a USATF certified 5k. There is also an option for a 1 mile and 2 mile walk. The cost to participate is $20 and includes a race t-shirt.
