Family caregivers are invited to attend a presentation on Tuesday, February 13 from 1:00 – 2:30 PM at the UHS Stay Healthy Center in the Oakdale Mall, Johnson City. “The Importance of Good Hearing” will be presented by Dr. David Glaser of Southern Tier Hearing Services.
Caregivers will find this information helpful if caring for someone who is hard of hearing. Topics covered include how we hear and how hearing is evaluated, communication strategies for the hard of hearing, psychosocial effects of untreated hearing loss and the basics of hearing aid technology.
