Fans Of The Movie ‘The Godfather’ Will Not Believe This Movie Fact

Growing up Italian, we were forced to watch and memorize the movie "The Godfather". I even have a Godfather hat that is signed by one of the stars of the movie. But, if I was a betting man I would have never guessed this interesting fact about the movie.

Italian or not, you can't deny the fact that "The Godfather" is one of the greatest movies of all time. And, it produced one of the most iconic movie scenes in American film history.

Did you know that the famous scene in the movie where the guy woke up to find a horse's head in his bed was a REAL horse's head? The horse head in "The Godfather" wasn't a fake prop.  It was an actual dead horse's head they got from a dog food plant in New Jersey. (Time)

After knowing this, it makes the whole scene so much more jaw-dropping.
