When I was a kid, we would go door-to-door with our baseball uniform on, and ask for donations to help offset the costs of the expenses for that certain sport.  Times have changed!  People are more reluctant to just give money.

Different groups have gotten very creative in their fund raising efforts over the years.  So, now you can help out financially, and get something in return!  Here are a couple events like that going on in the area.

The Johnson City Lacrosse team is having Doug's Fish Fry in the parking lot of Toys-R-Us in Johnson City on Saturday from 11am-6pm.  You can stop by and get some delicious Doug's Fish Fry with the proceeds helping out the Johnson City Lacrosse program!

And, The Binghamton Mets are having their Welcome Back Dinner on Wednesday April 2nd at the Double Tree Hotel by Hilton starting at 5:30pm.  The B-Mets mascots and players will be on hand to meet and get autograths.  Tickets are $25 and are available by calling 723-METS!  All of the proceeds benefit the B-Mets Booster Club.
