Pennsylvania State Police say a rage incident at gas pumps in Wyoming County, just south of Susquehanna County, has landed a number of charges against a Meshoppen woman.

Authorities say 51 year old Kimberly Brinton was allegedly smoking a cigarette while pumping gas June 30 at the Dandy Mart in Mehoopany.

Another driver told her to put the cigarette out then threw windshield washer fluid at her in an effort to extinguish the smoke.

Investigators say Brinton apparently became enraged and screamed that she was going to set the other driver on fire.  Brinton allegedly sprayed gasoline on the woman as she tried to drive away.  The second woman then slipped on the gas while getting out of her car and broke her arm.

Brinton is charged with assault and other counts.
