"Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neuro-degenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Eventually, people with ALS lose the ability to initiate and control muscle movement, which often leads to total paralysis and death within two to five years of diagnosis.

For unknown reasons, veterans are twice as likely to develop ALS as the general population. There is no cure, and only one drug approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) modestly extends survival." - ALS.org

So make sure to come out this Saturday, July 25th to support those suffering from ALS and their families. This is a 1 mile walk.

Let's raise money to further research to find a cure!

Remember last your the Ice Bucket Challenge? That was to raise money and awareness for ALS. Take a look at this video made by a man who has been affected by ALS.
