If you've been in the market for a house and have around $2.4 million burning a hole in your pocket, the deal has just been sweetened! Why just buy a single house, when you can buy a 62 acre ghost town?

For just under three million dollars, you can buy the whole town of Johnsonville, Connecticut which is about 30 minutes outside Hartford and just two hours from New York City and Boston.

In the sale listing for the town it's described as having "a covered bridge, wooden dam and waterfall along with 25 acres of land suitable for residential and commercial development."

Johnsonville was once a thriving mill town in the 1830s, but has since been left as an abandoned ghost town. As a matter of fact, the town has been abandoned not once, not twice, but three times.

Last year, the town was purchased, but the buyer wasn't able to come up with the money, so it's back on the market.

According to the Hartford Courant, most people interested in buying the property want to  "incorporate the village into any redevelopment" but "one or two are just looking at doing away with Johnsonville." In other words, there are a few people who want to buy it so that they can raze everything and then subdivide the property and sell it off for residential development.

What a shame it would be for such a quaint little town to be torn down for new construction. Johnsonville looks so peaceful and like a throwback in time. What I wouldn't give to have the money to buy it and turn it into a thriving family friendly town.
