Good News! You Can Eat, Drink and Still Have a Successful Day at Work
I’m not recommending this lifestyle by any means but reading this study did make me chuckle. If you like to drink, smoke and eat lots of junk food, this will make you happy.
Yes if you like to live a very unhealthy lifestyle of drinking heavily, smoking then gorging on junk food, you’re going to be very happy and will probably go out tonight even though it’s a work night. The only thing you’re going to need to do is get a good night’s rest and you’ll be fine for work tomorrow!
There was a new study done at Cambridge University in England and it revealed that drinking alcohol, eating junk food, and smoking won’t have any effect on your productivity the next day as long as you get a good night’s sleep. Apparently according to the study, they found that the real productivity killer is not getting enough sleep which is sleeping less than seven hours, regardless of what other unhealthy stuff we do.
But there is one thing that’s actually worse for you than not getting enough sleep. Can you guess what it is? It’s stressing about money. Stress in general is a horrible thing. I know for a fact that I got the flu a few weeks ago because of stress that others were causing me. It really can take a toll on the body and affects productivity.
Now I wouldn’t recommend drinking and smoking and eating lots of junk food! I think it would affect me! One glass of wine is fine, two I have a headache the next day! But maybe I am the exception to the study. But being sleep deprived definitely affects your productivity! It’s so hard to focus when you’re tired.
So rest up and get a good night’s sleep!
