‘Got Milk?’ Campaign Ran for 20 Years

I don't want to make you feel old but I am sure this will. Did you know that the very first ad campaign for 'Got Milk?' happened in October 24th, 1993?

It was an ad campaign to encourage people to drink more cow's milk.

The advertisements would typically feature people in various situations involving dry or sticky foods and treats. The person then would find himself in an uncomfortable situation due to a full mouth and no milk to wash it down. At the end of the commercial the character would look sadly to the camera and boldly displayed would be the words, "Got Milk?"

My Throwback Thursday photo is from a Spiedie Festival several years back when the campaign set up at the festival to get pictures of different people promoting milk consumption.
