A blighted former industrial site in the City of Binghamton is undergoing a transformation with the official groundbreaking for the multi-million dollar project.

100 apartments along with commercial space are being developed at the former General Cigar Company and Ansco camera and film company on Emma Street in the First Ward at a cost of about $20 million.

Paulus Development Company of Syracuse bought the property from Broome County in 2017 after it was seized for back taxes in 2015.
